Bedford Row

Information for guests

Hot water

Hot water comes from a large immersion tank. This is automatically heated early each morning during your stay, and it provides plenty of hot water for multiple showers and washing up.

In the (very unlikely) event that you need more, there is a remote button in a wooden box in the writing desk; press 'ON' once to run the water heating cycle again. A red light beneath the coat stand shows this is on. Please only do this if you find the hot water is running out – thank you.

Heating

The flat has three traditional cast iron radiators, each with its own electric element. These are controlled using the thermostats on the lower right of each radiator (the upper or lower button) or with the dedicated remote controls found inside the the writing desk top.

These take time to warm up and cool down so plan ahead. We suggest setting these no higher than 21° as the cast iron bodies continue to radiate heat for a long time after they reach the set level. In colder weather we will turn the lounge and kitchen radiators on before you arrive.

Please don’t switch these fully off at night or when leaving! Reduce the temperature to 10°c instead.

Contact

If you have any questions or problems you can contact us through the Airbnb app. We will respond ASAP, although late night messages may not be answered immediately.

In an emergency please don’t hesitate to call or message us on 07909 541 365.

There is a first aid kit in the deep kitchen drawer next to the fridge, and there’s a small fire extinguisher on the kitchen counter. (But in case of fire please don’t take any risks!)

Music and radio

There are Sonos speakers throughout the flat. The speakers in each room can be grouped to play together, and the volume for each room is controlled separately. The iPad kept near the TV is used to control these, and there is an Apple Music account set up ready to use with these.

There's also a DAB radio on the left shelf in the kitchen. Use the upper-left button to turn it on. Press and hold this button to turn it off again. (A regular press on this button cycles through the different radio and connection options, so just keep pressing to get back to DAB if you do this by mistake.)

TV

The TV is turned on and off by the Apple TV remote. Press the small power button on the remote to turn the TV on, and press and hold to turn it off. The side button allows voice searches: press and hold this button while speaking.

Broadcast TV is accessed from the Channels app in Apple TV. There are also apps for Netflix and the main TV channels, with accounts logged in and ready to go.

Feedback

We hope you have a lovely time at Bedford Row. Please let us know if anything about your stay feels like less than a five-star experience, and give us a chance to fix it during your stay. Of course, if there's something that can't be resolved then you should certainly review us with that in mind – but please let us try to fix it first.
